Wow! So much chat about Game Changers, the pro-vegan documentary on Netfilx. People are still asking me my opinion and I finally got around to watching it this week!
My opinion about what constitutes a healthy diet hasn’t actually changed since watching the programme… there is no doubt that a well balanced vegan diet will help your health soar! Also, a well balanced omnivorous diet will help your health soar 🤷🏻♀️ Eat plenty of veggies, eat some fruits, grains …and then the choice is yours to make. If eating meats & fishes, eat from a good source and maybe consider some meat free days with concern for the environment?
We are all unique in the way we respond to exercise and nutrition … so one type of lifestyle will very much suit some and definitely not agree with others! Be your own “diet detective” ….find which foods help you thrive – and of course, those you should limit (there are obvious answers to this one 🍕🍰🍻🍹…..!)
The stories about the athletes who improved their performance changing their diets to plant based were interesting, however of course there are thousands of top athletes who are not vegan 😉
The most dramatic statistics for me, were the environmental implications. I knew that cow farts were bad for the environment, but didn’t know just how bad! 🐄💨😳
