If You Drive To Class, Read on!


Hi There,


A BORING news blog today, however unfortunately needs to be done! 😐


Westcombe Park venue:

First the good news! The gas works are not going to shut the approach road after all! So we can still easily get access to the WP car park.

BUT!! There is a film crew in attendance from Tuesday 12th, meaning that we will have reduced spaces. Usually a marshal will be there to assist us, so hopefully not too disruptive.


Tubbenden Classes in the Main Hall:

There is a problem with people queuing up to the gates at Tubbenden car park, before they are open. People are sitting in the road with their indicator on, blocking Tubbenden Lane, or blocking the entrance, causing not only a problem for the instructor coming in, but also for people using the road!


Unfortunately, our neighbours have complained, therefore I have to take action as you can appreciate.


Please bear in mind that some instructors are coming from another job, via public transport (or straight from PT clients in my case), and therefore might not arrive prior to 6pm.


Arriving earlier than 15 minutes prior to the class start time will not guarantee that the gates will be open and ready for you to gain access. We kindly ask that you allow us time to arrive, open up and start the set up, before your arrival. If you DO need to arrive early as coming straight from work or driving through lots of traffic, please then use parking across the road in Ashbourne Rise, or Deacon Leas - again, with consideration for our neighbours 🙏🏼


Saturday 9.30am Cross Training at Tubbs.

Also at Tubbenden, we are being asked by the Chinese School to leave them some spaces to drop off their children at 10am. I have argued that the parents can easily park over the road and walk their children in, however I am told that this is unreasonable. In the interests of keeping the peace, we have a verbal agreement that Flin's members park to the right hand side of the car park, leaving the left side available for them.


Please could our members park over to the right as you enter the car park, or park over in Ashbourne Rise and walk over. I will cone off the car park for a couple of weeks, so that everyone can see where we go.


CLASS NEWS!

  • Next Sunday 17th is Dance Because Nobody Is Watching, a FREE event! We have availability in the morning now, so have rescheduled this session for 11am. Book HERE

  • Thursday 21st is the next Stretch & Sound soundscape event. Book HERE

  • Slow Flow Yoga, this new class is perfect for newbies to Yoga, or those who need a slow paced class ... however it is too quiet to survive at the moment 😟 Ef is a WONDERFUL instructor, so it's not this element ...Help!
