Remember How Much Fun It Was?

Save The Date! Aerobathon '24

September 15th,10am at Tubbenden school - it's a Sunday again, meaning we can use the full facilities of the school!

This year, we will be supporting TWO very local charities, both of which tie in with mental health - you know how passionate I feel about mental health and exercise. I'm also keen to support small local charities this year. If you've not heard of them, let me introduce you!

Westmeria Counselling Services

Providing much needed low cost counselling for those who would not normally be able to access it, this charity supports anyone 18 years and older in the Borough of Bromley who is finding life really difficult and looking for help to gain an understanding as to why. However strong we are there will be times when things are hard to cope with and we may need help to sort out a particular problem. Our aim is to help you manage your life.

Living On Bereavement Services

Living On is a small local charity based in Chelsfield that provides vital support for children and young people when someone they love has died. Since registering as a charity in 2016 they have helped over 500 bereaved families in the area.

Grief can be extremely isolating for all members of a family and can trigger emotional and behaviour problems that will affect work, school, relationships and home lives. Living On's aim is to help children cope with their grief, to help them form positive relationships and to be able to access and make the most of their education and reach their potential.

Living On supports children and young people by providing one to one sessions, as well as Grief Groups to bring together children who have been bereaved to explore grief, coping mechanisms and difficult feelings and alleviate the sense of being alone. We support schools and professionals working with bereaved children.

I'm so excited to start raising money for these charities - our donation links will be live by next weekend, June 15th.

In the meantime, I will see you either at Dance Because Nobody's Watching with Jules at 11am tomorrow, Sunday (link to book is here - remember this is a FREE, joyful event to promote mental health) OR I will see you prior to that at the Orpington 10K warm up!
